Main Star - Mt Kahikatea

On Curious Cove camp my whole class climbed up Mt Kahikatea. It felt really long and I was talking most of the way up. The height of the mountain is 640 meters above sea level and the view off the top is amazing I managed to get some great photos!

Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception

The book I read is called Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception, it is written by Eion Colfer and the genre is sci-fi and adventure because Artemis and his fairy friends travel between countrys.

In this book a pixie named Opal Kobi was planning world domination with 2 other pixie twins Opal Kobi mesmerized (hypnotized) a famous scientist and became his daughter.
The scientist was planing to drill a big drill into the ground to get iron but Opal wanted him to drill into Haven City (the fairy world) and connect the 2 worlds together, can Artemis and his friends save the day...

Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code

The book I am reading is called Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code it is written by Eoin Colfer and the genre is sci-fi and adventure because it includes fairys and they travel a lot  around country.

In this book Artemis has a meeting with billionaire Jon Spiro, Jon wants to buy the C Cube that Artemis has but Artemis says its not for sale and it starts a fight.
Butler gets injured and the fairys help Artemis get the revenge on Jon and his bodyguard, Arno Blunt to get the C Cube back...

WALT: Food and nutrition

Our topic this term is food and nutrition we have been having a nutritionist come to our class to teach us about healthy food choices I am doing a post about breakfast cereals and what types are healthy for you.

Here is a graph we made showing the healthiest cereals and the least healthiest cereals.

I am going to write about all the cereals and if it is good for you or not and try to make you make healthy food choices. The best cereals are the ones up the top like the light and tasty and both the weetbix because the have 5 ticks and don't have any reds which means they are the best and I recommend having them every day. What cereals I usually have is Sanitarium Weetbix and Berry Berry Nice which is quite good for you.  

Main Star How To Be A Good Friend

Main Star Keep A Diary For A Week

11/3/15: Today I had grey district swimming sport in the aquatic centre I went with my friends, Matthew, Mackenzie and Alex. I also had athletics training at 5:30 pm and I done lots of different activities.

12/3/15: Today I had breakfast club for kids lit quiz training every Thursday we had bacon, eggs and sausages, I also found out I made it into west coast swimming sports in Westport next Wednesday. We had to Packed for Timaru because I had Canterbury champs for athletics.

13/3/15: I went to school in the morning and mum picked us up at 11:00 am and we left to Timaru. We stopped at Lake Heron in Ashberton lakes and had a picnic, on our way we saw a cool fence it was basically a hedge sculptured to make it look really cool. In Timaru we slept at the Sea Breeze Motel with Riley, his mum and his Grandma, for dinner we went to a Japanese restaurant with Riley.

14/3/15: Today was my birthday as a present from mum and dad I got a lego star wars droid gun ship.  I had to go to the athletics field my events were 100 meters and long jump, I jumped 3.40 meters in long jump. Today for dinner all the Greymouth athletics club came to the Speights Ale House and the food was really good.

15/3/15: Today in athletics I had 60 meters and 200 meters, I was a reserve for the 200 meter finals, there was also a parent relay for every club and my mum was in the mum relay. We had subway for dinner at 6:00 pm and came back to Greymouth at 11:00 pm.

16/3/15:In the morning we opened parcels from Grandma Gill and Grandpa Arie. At school Jimmy gave me a present which was a 3 in 1 creator lego. After school I built the 8 Lego mixels and the droid gun ship.

17/3/15: Today I woke up and got ready for school. After school we had a family celebration for my birthday and for dinner we had domino's pizza.

This book is called Artemis Fowl and the Arctic incident it is written by Eoin Colfer and the genre is science fiction + adventure because Artemis travels round the world to the Arctic Circle with his body guard and his fairy friend to save his father after his father was kidnapped by a Russian Mafia when Artemis was 11 and now he is 13 can Artemis Fowl save his father or will their relationship be lost forever...

New World Coast Kids Triathlon

On the 8/3/15 I competed in the coast kids triathlon in Greymouth.
I done it individually (by myself).
You have to do 4 lengths of the big pool cycle around a bike track they marked with cones and run round Anzac park twice and at the end you get a medal and maybe win something in the spot prizes, I won a cell phone in the spot prizes.

Main Star Clean an Area

For this Main Star I cleaned the beach a little bit while I was waiting for Arielle to finish her Kea Scouts on Thursday.
It was mostly clean apart from a couple of people who had Mcdonalds left their rubbish lying around.

Big Nate Here Goes Nothing

This book is called Big Nate here goes nothing it is written by Lincoln Pierce and the genre is humor because it contains very funny stuff.

The book is a comic book and is about a boy called Nate and his 2 friends at a school called P.S 38 (Public School 38) and playing soccer against his enemy school Jefferson.

Jefferson have not been beaten in 4 years can P.S 38 beat them or does Jefferson's winning streak keep on going!

Main Star - Make baking and give it to someone else

For my main star I made 12 chocolate chip muffins 6 with coconut powder and 6 without.
I gave my neighbors 6 and it looked like even the dog wanted some.
